One of the best ways to set up yourself and your family for the day ahead is a bowl of porridge and even better if you make it with soy milk. (see previous blog!) It takes a few minutes to prepare and the health benefits are outstanding. This is a very cheap way to give yourself a great start to the day, why, let me tell you! Oat is a cereal food that is generally considered to be very soothing for the nerves. Oats are one of the best sources of Inositol, which is very important for maintaining... Continue reading...

why is it that whenever you suggest to someone that wearing fur is wrong that they feel the need to come up with a million excuses. The native Indians wore fur. Eskimos wear fur. I have had the coat for 50 years, it was my mothers. It was a present. The list goes on, the fact is, the native indians did not have a choice, and nor did they kill just for fur. The whole animal was used. Eskimos do not have the luxury of shopping centres to buy their clothes and again, they use the whole animal and hun... Continue reading...

Is any other food or drink reported to have as many health benefits as green tea? The Chinese have known about the medicinal benefits of green tea since ancient times, using it to treat everything from headaches to depression. Green tea has been used as a medicine in China for at least 4,000 years.
Today, scientific research in both Asia and the west is providing hard evidence for the health benefits long associated with drinking green tea. For example, in 1994 the Journal of the National C... Continue reading...

Some 17 per cent of British children - 900,000 - are obese, so fat that their health is in danger.
Two years ago Government scientists said that without action, this figure would soar to 25 per cent by 2050. Professor Pritchard-Jones said: 'Childhood is when the habits of a lifetime are established. If you want healthy adults you start by making healthy children. Powerful statements, from the Daily Mail on line today.
As a parent you have a duty to ensure that you give your children the best st... Continue reading...

First of all, this is really not that difficult and no amount of expensive creams are going to make a blind bit of difference if you fill yourself up on rubbish. At the end of the day, your skin reflects what goes into your system, so all those burgers, microwave meals, processed bits of meat, fizzy drinks and so on will all reflect back in your skin.
Anti aging foods are all around you. They are foods that come straight from the field. They’re colorful, fresh and definitely not fried. The... Continue reading...

It seems to me that so long as people are scraping along the floor all is well. So long as certain people can have an air of authority then there is balance, but the moment someone starts to do well, or, heaven forbid, really starts to suceed people start to attack.
They attack from all angles and about anything. Lets look at Gordon Ramsay for a moment. He is known for his swearing, we all know that if we watch one of his programes you are going to hear swearing, so why is it, that when he was... Continue reading...
