Why Eat Chard?

 Next time you see this in the markets, pick up a bunch and it cooks down like spinach so you will need alot. I remove the leaves and wash them well and try put them in a little olive oil and garlic, perhaps some fresh ginger, and just steam them down for a couple of minutes, fantastic. The stalk I use in soups or as a base for vegetable stock, but you can use it in all sorts of ways, and it is totally delicious. Try it!

To list everything that is good about garlic would take more than a few paragraphs, but let me just list a few.



Stomach Ulcers - Those who eat more garlic suffer less with stomach ulcers. It basically helps to build a protection against the bacteria that causes the ulcer.
Cholesterol - Studies are regularly carried out on this area, and it always proves that garlic helps to reduce your cholesterol, and even taken a garlic supplement will help reduce it by up to one tenth.

Potatoes! We all love them in their various forms and when you are pushed for time you can always prepare something if you have a few potatoes. So why eat them?

The juice of a potato is very cleansing.
The liver benefits from the juice of potatoes.
Provides energy to muscles.
Contain potassium
Contain Folic Acid
Contain Vitamin C

However, how you prepare them dictates how good they are for you, I mean, before you start saying that they are bad for you, sure, if you deep fry them in lard, cover them ...
