It seems to me that so long as people are scraping along the floor all is well. So long as certain people can have an air of authority then there is balance, but the moment someone starts to do well, or, heaven forbid, really starts to suceed people start to attack.
They attack from all angles and about anything. Lets look at Gordon Ramsay for a moment. He is known for his swearing, we all know that if we watch one of his programes you are going to hear swearing, so why is it, that when he was an unknown his personality was labelled as refreshing, daring and different and now people seem to watch his programes just to be able to count how many times he swears and then complain about it. If you do not like it, then do not watch it. I see no reason why Gordon should be punished just because some people are too stupid to turn over the channel, in the same way, if you invite him to come and sort out your restaurant, what did you expect? He did not become top of his game because he could not cook, or because he served up rubbish in a dirty hole, no he has standards and by god, if you want him to help then you had better be ready.
Why people cannot simply enjoy someones success with out picking on their family, their career and the essence of who they are is sad. What these people really need to do is take a look a themselves, I think they would find that even more alarming.Lynn xx www.nicholsons.tk
